Stem Clubs and Tutoring
I’m Ben Maki.
I’ve been teaching math and science for almost twenty years in the classroom and at outdoor education camps.
I’ve always believed the best way to learn a subject is to get in there and just use it. So that’s what we’re going to do.
Tutoring
Sometimes it helps to have a little focused attention. I am available for private and small group tutoring sessions. Bring me your troubles and we’ll work through them together. I specialize in math and science, but also learning. That means I can help with almost any topic (I just might be learning along with you).
Whatever you need, I got you.
Focused Tutoring
Want to learn a new skill or subject? Self-guided learning not quite working for you? Let me join you! I’ll take on the role of teacher and we’ll explore the topic together. This option is great for those taking math or science at home but still want a human being to guide and help them.
But don’t stop with math or science, we could learn anything!

Math and Stem Clubs
We meet afterschool (or during the day for homeschoolers) and spend time learning a variety of STEM topics:
- Math concepts, puzzles & strategies
- Engineering
- Electronics
- Robotics
- Coding
